The City of Union held its annual Christmas tree lighting and gospel singing on November 30, bringing families and neighbors together at the downtown mini park for an evening of fellowship, worship, and holiday cheer.
The program opened with a prayer led by Bro. Rusty Walton followed by performances from the Union Grove Baptist Church Choir, Cornerstone Quartet, Stanley & Remolar Amos & Group, The First Baptist Church Choir and the ECCC Centralettes.
Attendees also enjoyed the Christmas Story paired with a Live Nativity, a highlight that drew warm appreciation from the crowd. Bro. Michael Wilbanks ended the event with prayer.
As night fell, the community gathered around the town tree for the official lighting, signaling the start of the Christmas season in Union.
