On Friday night, April 28, Officer S. Robinson and K9 Teo of the City of Union Police Department were asked to assist in the search of a vehicle on S Decatur St in the City of Union. The search uncovered marijuana and what appeared to be meth residue.
Christopher Poland, a North Carolina man, was stopped at a checkpoint conducted by Officers T. Stevens and C. Willis when officers suspected he may be in possession of an illicit substance. Officer Robinson and K9 Teo were deployed to the scene and assisted in the discovery of marijuana and illegal pills in the vehicle. Poland was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Additional charges may be pending at this time.
It is important to note that everyone is innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
