| A: Newton County has proudly been my home for many years, and my passion is serving Newton County’s community and its citizens with honesty in all that I do. |
A: To serve the citizens of Newton County as I have the last 16 years on the ambulance in Newton County. |
A: Considering my education and experience working with people and my ability to apply fair business practices, I feel these assets would be invaluable building blocks to a strong and trustworthy justice court system. |

| A: I have faithfully served the public for over 20 years, and also have five years of correctional experience. During this time, I’ve counseled many families, individuals and offenders in which I have always provided a listening ear and a compassionate heart while never compromising convictions or the truth. |
A: My years of service in the military, my work ethic (proven) and my 16 years on the ambulance in Newton County and always treating people, no matter race, economic status or name, with respect and compassion. |
A: My entire working career has been centered on communicating and working with people – Vietnam (military policeman); MS State Job Service (interviewer); ESCO Corp. (human resources, purchasing/payroll, manufacturing management). I pride myself in being cordial and fair in working with all people, regardless of ethnicity or social status. |

Q: From the perspective of the office you are seeking, what is the single most important issue facing your position in Newton County? |
| A: I believe the most important issue that we are facing is becoming complacent with the way things have always been done. We shouldn’t be satisfied with what we can get by with. We must strive to ensure the integrity of our county is upheld and the law is being followed. |
A: Trying to keep repeat offenders off the street and from doing the same offense over and over. |
A: Maintaining the respect of anyone participating, or who may participate in the judicial process is utmost and most critical if our justice system is to be creditable and continue to have successful and respectful survival. |
| Q: What role to you see the office you are seeking playing in the lives of Newton County residents? If elected, how would you fulfill that role to provide the best possible service? |

Q: What role to you see the office you are seeking playing in the lives of Newton County residents? If elected, how would you fulfill that role to provide the best possible service? |
| A: I see the role of Justice Court Judge as a role model for every citizen young or old. The level of accountability is set high (as it should be) and must be maintained. I plan to fulfill that role by continually seeking guidance from the Lord, upholding conservative values and following the guidelines of the law. |
A: Hopefully making the lives of Newton County residents better by finding a solution to the unpaid fines that are on the books, finding a way to get those paid and by doing so the money generated will improve roads, police and fire-EMS protection, along with other benefits. I will take a firm approach in making a better effort in getting people to pay their fines. |
A: The role I see me playing, which should not be unique to any candidate who is fortunate enough to serve, is to assure judgements are legally appropriate, fair and delivered expeditiously. I commit to the plaintiff as well as the defendant, that each will receive respect as pertinent facts are considered to make decisions and render judgements. |
