This is the body camera footage obtained by Decatur Police Officer Pete Pierman during a traffic stop on March 24, 2023, when he assisted Decatur Assisistant Police Chief Ryan Oakley with the arrest of Carlonte and Carlois Walker for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. As a part of a plea deal, both charges were dropped against both persons in exchange for withdrawing any official complaints against Oakley and Pierman along with dropping a request for a probable cause hearing for simple assault against Oakley. Moving violations charges against Carlonte Walker still stood. The video was obtained by the Newton County Appeal through an open records request.
