The Newton County Lady Cougars piled up two more wins last week, beating Northeast Lauderdale and Neshoba Central 3-1.
Newton County beat Neshoba 3-1 on Monday, winning 25-21, 26-24, 15-25 and 25-14. Felisia King led County with 18 kills while Adilyn Vaughn had 17 kills.
On Tuesday, they beat Northeast 3-1 on Tuesday, winning 25-8, 22-25, 24-8 and 25-9. Tatum Evans and Adilyn Vaughn each had 12 kills while Felisia King had 11 kills.
The Lady Cougars finished off the week with a 3-0 win over West Lauderdale, winning 25-10, 25-17 and 25-18. Adilyn Vaughn had 11 kills while Tatum Evans had 10 kills, and Felisia King added eight kills.
Newton County improved to 25-4 on the season and will play at Madison Central on Thursday and then take on South Jones and Northeast Jones on Saturday. They will finish the regular season on Tuesday by hosting Lake.
Lake
The Lady Hornets picked up two more wins as they blanked Newton and Scott Central.
Lake beat Newton 3-0 on Tuesday and then beat Scott Central 3-0 on Thursday.
Lake won its eighth straight match and improves to 17-4 on the season. Lake has a busy week as they were scheduled to host Pelahatchie on Monday and play at Puckett on Tuesday. They will host Scott Central on Thursday and play Union and West Lauderdale on Saturday.
Union
Union just got in one match last week taking an early 3-0 win over Pisgah.
Against Pisgah, Union won 25-11, 25-21 and 25-20.
Union will play at Quitman on Tuesday and then host Southeast Lauderdale on Thursday. They will play West Lauderdale and Lake on Saturday.
Sebastopol
The Lady Bobcats got in two matches last week as they lost 3-0 to Ethel and Nanih Waiya.
The Lady Bobcats are scheduled to play at McAdams on Tuesday and will host Noxapater on Thursday.
