The women of Weir ESCO recently celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) with a Lunch & Learn presentation led by Romonica Evans Jones, Director of Student Life at East Central Community College. Mrs. Evans Jones spoke about the vital role women play in the workplace, the importance of supporting one another, and the history of International Women’s Day—highlighting the many achievements women have made over time.
This year’s IWD theme, #GiveToGain, celebrates the power of generosity and collaboration. Give to Gain reminds us that sharing support, knowledge, and resources creates opportunities, builds trust, and amplifies voices in ways that benefit everyone. These leadership actions create lasting, positive ripple effects across individuals, teams, and workplace culture.
When women offer their time, expertise, and encouragement, communities grow stronger, industries become more inclusive, and society as a whole is enriched.
