The women of Weir ESCO recently celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) with a Lunch and Learn presentation by Keshia Thames, LMT, owner and operator of The Transformation Spa in Union. Thames discussed self-care and wellness for women and how it affects their productivity in both personal and professional life.
The theme for this year’s IWD is #AccelerateAction. Garry Fingland, CIO and executive sponsor of the Global Weir Women’s Network, emphasizes, “The aim of #AccelerateAction is to move beyond conversation and drive real change—in leadership, in business, and in life. This is crucial in achieving our strategic aim around equity, which focuses on what people need to achieve fair outcomes for all. It calls for action to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create environments where we are valued and respected.”
