The Yellowjackets beat Newton 15-0 on Tuesday in the only game of the week.
Union has a busy week ahead as they are scheduled to host Scott Central in a varsity doubleheader on Monday. On Tuesday they play at Philadelphia in a varsity only contest at 6 p.m. and host the Tornadoes on Friday at 6 p.m. On Saturday, Newton County will play at Newton County
The Yellowjackets scored early and often in a three-inning no-hitter over the Tigers on Tuesday.
Union scored five runs in the first, nine in the second and one in the third.
Union had 11 hits in the contest and drew five walks. Rope Lovern was 2-for-2 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs. Kolton Cockerham was 2-for-3 and scored two runs while Jaylon Buckley homered, scored three runs and had three RBIs. Henry Thornton walked twice, scored twice and had two RBIs while Jacob Moore singled and drove in two runs. Preston Germany and Judd Young each singled and scored a run.
Posey, Buckley and Matthew Lott each had two stolen bases as well.
Thornton pitched all three innings and struck out nine batters and walked just one.
