Lake girls 71, Nanih Waiya 67
The Lady Hornets took a four-point win in overtime over the Lady Warriors in their only action last week.
Lake took a 19-16 lead in the first period while Nanih Waiya outscored the Lady Hornets 14-9 in the second to take a 30-28 lead at the half. Nanih Waiya outscored Lake 19-18 in the third and led 49-46 going to the fourth. Lake then outscored Nanih Waiya 17-14 in the fourth to send the game into overtime. Lake then pulled away in the overtime period, outscoring Nanih Waiya 8-4 to take the win.
Lake used a balanced scoring attack to take the win as Natasha Patrick led the Lady Hornets with 16 points. Beautiful Carr and Harmony Jones each had 13 points while Annalisa Towner had 12 points. Jaylyn Grant also chipped in eight points for the Lady Hornets.

The Hornets lost their season opener with a one-point loss to the Warriors.

The Cougars posted a furious fourth-period comeback but lost on a buzzer beater as the Tornadoes took a one-point win last week.
Philly started fast as they outscored County 22-11 in the first period. Newton County took the second period 14-12 to cut the lead to 34-26 at the half. The Tornadoes started fast in the third period and outscored the Cougars 16-10 in the third and led 50-36 going to the fourth. Newton County came back in the fourth period and outscored Philly 23-10 but the Tornadoes hit a shot at the buzzer to take the win.
Keaton Gray had a monster game for Newton County, pumping in 34 points while Jaylen Torguson had nine points. Dasen King also chipped in five points.
Newton County girls 67, Philadelphia 39
The Lady Cougars picked up their first win with a convincing 28-point victory over the Lady Tornadoes.

Union girls 42, Noxapater 36
The Lady Yellowjackets pulled away in the second half and took a six-point win over the Lady Tigers on Saturday.
Union led 9-3 at the end of the first period before Noxapater outscored the Lady Yellowjackets 16-11 in the second to cut the score to 20-19 at the half. Union then outscored Noxapater 12-10 in the third and 10-7 in the fourth to take the win.
Rymia Craft led Union with 20 points while Elle Killen and Gracyn Tillman each had nine points apiece.
Northeast Lauderdale boys 60, Newton 50
The Tigers dropped their first game of the season with a 10-point loss to Northeast Lauderdale last week in their only action.
