The Sebastopol basketball teams opened up division 3-1A play this week and game away with a pair of wins.
The Lady Bobcats opened with a 40-12 win over Ethel while the Bobcats followed up with a 52-38 win.
In the Scott County Tournament, the Lady Bobcats lost 48-19 to Forest while the Bobcats lost 60-51 to Lake.
Sebastopol will return to action on Tuesday as they host McAdams and will then host Noxapater on Friday. They will finish the week on Saturday as they host Leake County.
Sebastopol girls 40, Ethel 12
The Lady Bobcats pulled away after the first period and took a 28-point win over the Lady Tigers on Tuesday in division play.
Each team scored six points in the first period while Sebastopol outscored the Lady Tigers 8-0 in the second period to lead 14-6 at the half. Sebastopol then outscored Ethel 13-2 in the third and 10-4 in the fourth for the final margin.
Cyrish Magclung led Sebastopol with 10 points while Takayla Williams had seven points and Lamissy Hicks added six points.
Sebastopol boys 52, Ethel 38
The Bobcats pulled away in the second half and took a 14-point win over Tigers.
Sebastopol led 10-9 at the end of the first and went into halftime tied 17-17. But the Bobcats outscored the Tigers 19-11 in the third and 16-10 in the fourth to take the win.
Luke McGarrity led Sebastopol with 12 points while Jaylin Hughes and Kari Michaels had 10 points apiece. Hayden Moorehead also chipped in eight points.
Forest girls 48, Sebastopol 19
The Lady Bearcats outscored the Lady Bobcats in each of the first three periods and took a 29-point win in the Scott County Tournament.
Forest jumped out to a 17-5 lead in the first period and then outscored the Lady Bobcats 10-4 in the second to lead 27-9 at the half. Forest then outscored Sebastopol 16-4 in third to lead 43-13 going to the fourth. Sebastopol took the fourth period 6-5 for the final margin.
Takayla Williams led Sebastopol with seven points while Georgi Gunn had four points.
Lake boys 60, Sebastopol 51
The Hornets used a big second period and held on to take a nine-point win over the Bobcats on Thursday in the Scott County Tournament.
Lake took a 15-10 lead in the first period before they outscored the Bobcats 20-7 in the second period to lead 35-17 at the half. Sebastopol fought back in the second half and outscored Lake 19-16 in the third and 15-9 in the fourth.
Jaylin Hughes and Hayden Moorehead led Lake with 12 points apiece while Kari Michaels and Kenyon White had six points apiece.
