The Newton Juneteenth Celebration was cancelled last month due to Tropical Storm Claudette, but they decided to re-brand it as Newton Day, which is now scheduled for Saturday at Wade Park in Newton.
Event organizer Damarius Evans said they are planning to go ahead with the event.
