The Farm Service Agency recently reassigned Newton County administrative farms to the Neshoba County Office in Philadelphia. Consequently, farm records and program enrollments for Newton County farms will now be managed from the Neshoba County Office. The Newton County Farm Service Agency Office in Decatur will remain open by appointment only.
Teresa R. Walker, County Executive Director for the Neshoba/Newton County Farm Service Agency, stated that her schedule is flexible for those needing to contact her, and her office is prepared to assist Newton County farms.
To request a farm transfer to a different servicing office, contact the Neshoba County Office within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter. Farm transfer requests must be submitted on form FSA-179 and require signatures from the operator and all owners. If no contact is made within 30 days, farm records will be managed by the Neshoba County Office.
Direct or guaranteed loans with FSA will continue to be serviced at the Neshoba County Office.
