Hugh, Deanna, Bankston and Luke Rush enjoyed a trip to Oxford on Saturday, Sept. 2 to cheer the Ole Miss Rebels for their first ballgame of the year. The Rebels were successful in defeating The University of South Alabama.
While in Oxford the Rushes enjoyed visiting with Mark and Nancy Jo Burton Maples, and Ben of Lucedale. Ben is a hunior Mechanical Engineering major at Ole Miss.

First grade Parent Academy Night will be held in the Union School cafeteria at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11. Fourth grade was last week on Thursday, Sept. 7. The next PTA meeting will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14.
Union High School Homecoming Court has been announced. Freshman maids are Annabelle Fry and Katie Sullivan; sophomore maids are Bree Sullivan and Kayleigh Vance; junior maids are Abigail Home and Grace Goss; and senior maids are Lilly Burton, Parker Breland and Jaz Russell. Homecoming festivities will take place Friday, Sept. 29. Congratulations, ladies!
Stacy Skinner reports that on Monday, Sept. 4, Louis and Donna Skinner hosted some of their family at the farm for a Labor Day cook-out.
Enjoying an evening of good food and fellowship were Matt, Julie, Anna Brooke and Kaitlyn Skinner with Nick and Stacy Turner.
Later in the week, on Thursday, Sept. 7, Louis took advantage of the cooler fall temperatures for a bobcat hunt with hounds in Flatwoods near Shuqualak with Harold Parker and Tommy Coleman.
Harold, hailing from Sumrall, has a pack of running walker foxhounds that are straight on bobcat and he and Louis have shared numerous thrilling cat chases for 25 years. This outing did not disappoint the three men.
