A Hickory man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday night on Interstate 20 near the Hickory exit.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol identified the victim as Hulon Brown, 73, of Hickory. He was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado.
MHP received the call at 6:08 p.m., and Deputy Coroner Rebecca Burton said Brown was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:20 p.m. with blunt force trauma injuries.
MHP identified the other driver as David Dearman, 38, of Meridian, who was driving a 2014 Ford F-150. MHP said Dearman was not seriously injured in the crash.
Burton said the crash occurred at the 117 mile marker. MHP said both drivers were traveling westbound.
Burton said it appeared like the Silverado had rear-end damage.
“Mr. Brown’s vehicle apparently crossed median after the collision and hit a bridge,” Burton said.
