The Decatur Police Department, Decatur Fire Department and Newton County EMA responded to a log truck crash at the car wash parking lot on Thursday morning.
According to officers on the scene, the log truck, the bed of which was empty, was parked at the Shell station across the road. The driver had gone into the convenience story when the truck began to roll out of the parking lot and down the hill. It crossed the road, came into the parking lot and struck a tree before it ran down the steep embankment.
The incident occurred before 6:45 a.m. Thursday
No one was injured in the crash.
