A Conehatta man was killed in an apparent head-on collision on Mississippi 21 in Neshoba County Wednesday.
Mississippi Highway Patrol confirmed that Duston A. Shaw, 36, of Conehatta was pronounced dead on the crash scene.
Another woman, Belinda Morrow, 61, of Philadelphia, was also injured in the crash and was transported to Rush Hospital in Meridian.
According to a press release, the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Department reported a two-vehicle crash on Mississippi 21 near Neshoba County Road 129 to MHP at 1:57 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6.
The release indicated that a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Morrow was traveling north on Mississippi 21. A 1995 Geo Tracker driven by Shaw was traveling south on Mississippi 21.
“The Chevrolet Equinox and Geo Tracker collided on MS 21,” the release stated. “Duston Shaw received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene. Belinda Morrow received serious injuries and was transported to Rush Hospital in Meridian.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
