BankFirst Financial Services (“BankFirst” or “Bank”) names James Williams as Newton Community President. Williams, whose extensive career spans nearly three decades in the banking industry, has been an invaluable asset to the BankFirst team since joining in 2008.
Williams is an alumnus of Mississippi State University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Professional Accountancy and Master of Business Administration degrees. He furthered his education by completing the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Williams is deeply rooted in Newton through his active involvement in the community. He is a dedicated member of the Newton Lions Club and the Newton Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he serves as an active Deacon at First Baptist Church of Newton and organizations such as the Newton County 4-H Advisory Council, Meridian Civitan Club, and the Newton County Academy Board.
He and his wife, Karen, are proud parents of two children, Wesley and Carlee Bess.
