The Lake baseball team got in three games last week and came away with three more wins.
Lake started the week with a 15-0 win over Richland on Monday and then beat Choctaw Central 22-5 on Tuesday. They finished with an 11-1 win over Morton on Wednesday.
The Lake softball team lost its only game, falling 12-0 to Choctaw Central.

The Hornets improve to 14-2 on the season with three more wins last week.
On Monday, the Hornets blanked Richland 15-0, scoring one in the first, eight in the second and six in the third. The Hornets had five hits as Jackson State signee Trey Gray was 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Wes Nester singled and drove in three runs while J.D. Gibson scored two runs and had two RBIs. Kasen Tune pitched all three innings and gave up two hits and two walks while striking out five to get the win.
On Tuesday, Lake hammered Choctaw Central 22-5. The Hornets scored 12 in the first, three in the second and seven in the third. Lake had 15 hits and took advantage of six walks, four errors and four hit batters. Trey Gray was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and a double. J.D. Gibson was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs while Gavin Boles was 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs. Wes Nester was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and four RBIs while Wyatt Bell was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Aidan Dilley also doubled and drove in two runs. Gibson started on the mound and pitched two innings, giving up four runs on three hits to pick up the win. Bell pitched the last inning for the Hornets.
The Hornets finished the week on Wednesday with a run-rule win over Morton, winning 11-1. Lake scored two in the first and three in the second, third and fifth. Lake had just six hits as J.D. Gibson was 2-for-2 and scored four runs. Gavin Boles was 2-for-4 and drove in two runs while Wes Nester homered, scored four runs and had three RBIs. Wyatt Bell started on the mound and pitched two innings without giving up a hit to get the win. Nester pitched the last three innings and struck out two.

The Lady Hornets only got in one game last week, falling 12-0 to Choctaw Central.
Choctaw used a 10-run second inning to take the win, holding the Lady Hornets to just two hits as Alyssa Sockey and Daelyn Earls each singled.
Alaina Alford started and pitched two innings to take the loss, giving up 10 runs on five hits and four walks. Josie Wells pitched 1 1/3 innings and gave up two runs.
lake will return to play on Tuesday as they play at Union and will then play at Clarksdale on Thursday. They will finish the week on Saturday by hosting Morton.
