The Sebastopol Lady Bobcats improved to 23-4 on the season and won their first-round playoff series against Hatley.
After a 16-1 win over Taylorsville to end the regular season, the Lady Bobcats opened the Class 2A playoffs with a 7-5 and 6-3 wins over Hatley.
In baseball, Sebastopol lost its first-round series, falling 10-0 and 13-10 to New Site. The Bobcats end the season at 16-10.
The Lady Bobcats advance to second-round play this week as they play Ingomar. Game 1 was Thursday at Ingomar while Game 2 will be Friday in Sebastopol. An if-necessary game would be Saturday.

On Tuesday, Sebastopol finished the regular season with a 16-1 win over Taylorsville. The Lady Bobcats scored two in the first, six in the second and eight in the third. Sebastopol had eight hits and drew eight walks. Savannah Crout was 2-for-3 with three RBIs while Hanna Boleware was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Jaylee Coleman homered, scored three runs and had three RBIs while Mattie Byram and Cyrish Magculang each scored two runs. Bryleigh Myers pitched all three innings and gave up one run on one hit while striking out five.
The Lady Bobcats opened the playoffs on Thursday with a 7-5 win over Hatley. Sebastopol opened with three runs in the first and added single runs in the second, third, fourth and seventh. The Lady Bobcats had 11 hits, led by Marlee Smith who was 4-for-4 and scored two runs. Emma Smith was 2-for-4 with two runs scored while Hanna Boleware singled and drove in two runs. Savannah Crout also tripled and scored. Crout started in the circle and pitched all seven innings and gave up five unearned runs on 10 hits while striking out two.
The Lady Bobcats finished off the series on Friday with a 6-3 win over Hatley. The Lady Bobcats trailed 1-0 after three but scored four runs in the fourth and added two in the sixth. The Lady Bobcats had six hits and drew four walks. Marlie Smith was 2-for-4 with a double, triple and two RBIs while Hanna Boleware was 2-for-3. Bryleigh Myers also singled and had two RBIs. Savannah Crout pitched all seven innings and gave up three runs on nine hits to get the win.

The Bobcats finished out the regular season with a walk-off 17-16 win over Forest but then lost two straight to New Site to see their season come to an end. Sebastopol scored six in the first, three in the third and four in the fifth and seventh to take the win. The Bobcats had 12 hits and took advantage of nine walks and five errors. Colby Dooley was 2-for-5 with two doubles and three RBIs while Lowry Moore homered and had two RBIs. Luke McGarrity was 2-for-4 with three RBIs while Connally Gaddis was 2-for-5 and scored twice. Harrison Peebles was 2-for-4 with two RBIs while Alden Wilson singled, walked three times and scored three runs. Noah Atkinson and Ike Strickland also scored two runs. Atkinson started and pitched two innings while Gaddis pitched the next three innings. Strickland came in and didn’t get an out and gave up three runs while Peebles pitched the last two innings and gave up three unearned runs.
The Bobcats opened the playoffs on Friday with a 10-0 loss to New Site. The Bobcats only had two hits in the five-inning, run-rule loss. Luke McGarrity and Harrison Peebles each singled. Ty Skinner started and pitched 2/3 of an inning and gave up five runs on four hits and four walks while Peebles pitched the last 3 1/3 innings for the Bobcats.
The Bobcats saw their season come to an end on Saturday as they dropped a 13-10 decision to New Site. New Site scored four in the first and seven innings to take the win. Sebastopol had nine hits, led by Luke McGaritty who was 3-for-4 with two doubles. Ike Strickland homered and drove in two while Mayes McDill and Harrison Peebles each scored twice. Colby Dooley started on the mound and pitched four innings while giving up nine runs on seven its and five walks while striking out seven. Connally Gaddis pitched the last three innings and took the loss.
