The Sebastopol Lady Bobcats won their seventh straight game as the swept two games from Ingomar in the second round of the Class 2A playoffs.
The Lady Bobcats took an 8-1 win in game 1 and then finished off with a 13-4 win on Saturday to take the series.
The Lady Bobcats improve to 25-4 on the season and will take on division foe Eupora in third-round action this week. Game 1 is set for Eupora on Thursday at 6 p.m. while Game 2 will be Friday at 6 p.m. at Sebastopol. The if-necessary game would be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Eupora.
The two teams split games in the regular season as Eupora won 10-4 in the first meeting and the Lady Bobcats won 9-5 in the second game.
Sebastopol 8, Ingomar 1
The Lady Bobcats took an early lead and finished off strong to take a seven-run win over the Lady Falcons on Friday.
Sebastopol scored two runs in the first and second while Ingomar scored its lone run in the third inning. The Lady Bobcats then finished off the Lady Falcons with four runs in the sixth inning.
Sebastopol outhit Ingomar 11-6 and took advantage of five errors. Savannah Crout was 3-for-4 with a double while Hanna Boleware was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Marlee Smith was 2-for-5 with a triple and two runs scored while Emma Smith also had a double.
Crout was solid in the circle, pitching all seven innings and scattering six hits as she struck out nine.
Sebastopol 13, Ingomar 4
The Lady Bobcats banged out 20 hits as they rolled to a nine-run win over the Lady Falcons to sweep the series on Saturday.
The game was tied 4-4 after three innings before Sebastopol scored one in the fourth and fifth innings. The Lady Bobcats blew the game open with seven runs in the sixth inning.
Sebastopol had 20 hits and every start had one hit. Jaylee Coleman was 3-for-5 with three RBIs while Kadence Robertson was 3-for-5 with three runs scored. Peyton Chamblee was 3-for-4 with two RBIs while Savannah Crout was 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Cyrish Magculang was 2-for-3 while Maggie Byram was 2-for-4 with a double. Hanna Boleware was 2-for-3 with a double and two walks while Marlee Smith scored two runs.
Crout pitched all seven innings and gave up four runs on six hits while striking out seven to pick up the win and improve to 16-4 on the season.
