Q: What is your primary motivation for running for public office? |
| A: My primary motivation for running for constable is public service. I have enjoyed the last two terms; it has allowed me to represent and serve the people of District 1, Newton County. Protecting and serving has always, and continues to be, my passion. |
A: Growing up in Newton County, I have seen how the small hometowns and farms are slowly disappearing. Unless more people step out of their comfort zones and try to make changes in their local government, this decline will continue. Newton County is my home, and I am taking this step to try and give back to my community, to try and make a positive difference. |

| A: My goal if reelected is to continue to provide professional and courteous law enforcement service to the people of Newton County. I believe in teamwork. It’s my desire to work closer with the Newton County Sheriff’s Department and other agencies to better serve the people. |
A: I plan to work closely with the Sheriff’s Department and local police departments, keeping up with what is going on in Newton County and try to help them in anyway that I can. I will routinely meet with local businesses, county departments and the general public to find out their concerns. |

Q: What do you believe most qualifies you for this office? |
| A: I have 21 years of law enforcement experience. I am a fully certified law enforcement officer. I am the only certified law enforcement officer in this race. I have held this office for two terms and have built strong relationships with the judicial system. |
A: I have been serving Newton County for several years as a firefighter and first responder at Union Fire Department and Greenfield Fire Department. I also work as a firefighter with the City of Newton, along with LifeCare EMS and Metro Ambulance as an EMT/Driver. |

Q: From the perspective of the office you are seeking, what is the single most important issue facing your position in Newton County? |
| A: The drug culture has been and continues to be one of the main challenges for all us in the law enforcement community. It has destroyed lives and families. It is important that we do everything in our power to combat this evil undertaking. |
A: One issue I keep coming across as I talk to people is they don’t know who their constable is or what his job is. Because of this, I believe constables are underutilized. Making people aware that their constable is here, working alongside with the police and sheriff’s office. |
| Q: What role to you see the office you are seeking playing in the lives of Newton County residents? If elected, how would you fulfill that role to provide the best possible service? |

| The office of Constable is one of a law enforcement officer and a public servant. Electing a person that is untrained or in it for the wrong reason could have an adverse and lasting effect on the community. That is the reason it is so vital to consider the qualifications of each candidate seeking the office. If reelected, I will continue to provide professional and courteous law enforcement service to all people. My training and experience have prepared me of the office of Constable. |
A: My role as constable would be to make sure the residents of Newton County know who I am. I will make my presence known by patrolling the district, meeting face to face with the people, talking and listening to their concerns. As a first responder, I have had almost daily contact with the residents of Newton County. I have the skills and the desire to help them; most of them it has been on the worst day of their lives. I have a bond of caring and bond of trust with the people of Newton County. |
