Halloween is almost here, and Newton County towns are gearing up to host some spooky events. This year’s festivities will kick off Monday with CMRC’s Fall Festival in Newton.
Emily Pugh, communications director with Newton Chamber of Commerce, said the Fall Festival will run from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. and offer a fun time for everyone.
“They have things like fairground food, games and prizes,” she said.
Additionally, she said, the Fall Festival also include Treat Street, which is similar to trick-or-treating. Set up within the Fall Festival, a row of booths, called Treat Street, is available for children to visit and get candy, she said.
“Treat Street is part of the CMRC’s Fall Festival,” she said. “They have multiple stations set up where kids can stop by and get candy.
For those still looking to satisfy their Halloween needs after the festival, Decatur will host its Treat Street along Broad Street Tuesday night from 5-7 p.m., where businesses and organizations from around the county will set up booths offering games, prizes and candy to children.
