A Newton County man is in jail on sexual abuse charges after a Newton County Grand Jury returned an indictment during the September session.
The grand jury met on Sept. 21 and returned a true bill of indictment for Stevie L. Fielder with gratification of lust. His bond was set at $75,000.
The indictment alleges that the suspect “did willfully, unlawfully and feloniously touch or rub” private areas on a child under the age of 16 years old for the “purpose of gratifying his lust and indulging in depraved licentious sexual desires.
The case will now be scheduled for trial in the court of Circuit Judge Mark Duncan.
Other indictments returned during the Sept. 21 grand jury are as follows:
• Billy Eason was charged with possession of cocaine-firearm enhancement and possession of marijuana-firearm enhancement. Bond was set at $10,000.
• Brandon Joe Wilkerson and Jonathan Tyler Fincher were charged with grand larceny. Wilkerson was released to his own recognizance while Fincher’s bond was set at $15,000.
• James Milton Smith Jr. was charged with possession of lisdexamfetamine. His bond was set at $10,000.
• Joshua Kendal Womack was charged with possession of a cell phone in a correctional facility. His bond was set at $20,000.
• Stephen Paul Feeny Jr. was charged with aggravated domestic violence. His bond was set at $50,000.
• Sterling Walker was charged with possession of methamphetamine. His bond was set at $20,000.
• Sammy Lee Holliday was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of methamphetamine. His bond was set at $20,000.
• Jeremiah Marcus Jones was charged with aggravated domestic violence. His bond was set at $50,000.
• David E. McIntosh was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His bond was set at $10,000.
• Corey Deandre Daniels, Rodricus Quatez Jackson (habitual offender) and Levan A. Timmons Jr. were each charged with business burglary. Each person’s bond was set at $50,000.
• Beverly Jean Culpepper was charged with embezzlement. Her bond was set at $5,000.
• Johnnie Lee Neese was charged with three counts burglary of a storage shed. The bond was set at $10,000.
• Lucrube A. Walker was charged with driving under the influence fourth or subsequent offense (habitual offender). The bond was denied.
