Robert L. “Bobby” Dearing, 90, of Newton, Miss., passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was born on May 26, 1930 in Neshoba County.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Newton County Funeral Home-South. Graveside Services followed at 2 p.m. in the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Newton, MS. Bro. George Heath and Bro. David Rives officiated. Mr. Dearing is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Venie Dearing; older brother, Marzelle Dearing and younger sister, Martha Jean Kinsey; granddaughter, Angela Reneé Dearing.
He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 70 years, Mary Dearing; three children, Robert Dearing, Sr. (Martha), Roy Dearing (Anita) and Sherry Guttery; four grandchildren, Robert E. Dearing Jr., Andrea M. Mills, Royce W. Dearing and Russell L. Dearing;numerous great-grandchildren and great-great children; his brother, Joe Dearing (Dean); many nieces and nephews and their families.
Pall Bearers were Robert E. Dearing Jr., Royce Dearing, Russell Dearing, Bo Clark, Paul Craven and Jimmy Welch.
