Services for Mr. James "Jimmy" Nicholson were held 11 A.M., Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Rock Branch Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Bro. Rusty Walton, Bro. Marcus Finch and Bro. Tod Harrison officiated.
Visitation was held 9:30 A.M.-11 A.M. prior to service time at Rock Branch Baptist Church.
Mr. Nicholson, age 95, of Little Rock died Wednesday, December 04, 2024.
He served as a faithful member and deacon at Oakland Heights Baptist Church, Beulah Baptist Church and Rock Branch Baptist Church.
He and his wife, Marie were owners of Nick’s Dry Cleaners in Meridian for many years.
Mr. Nicholson served 41 years in the Air Guard and Air Force.
Survivors include two sons, Barry Nicholson (Vivian) and Kary Nicholson (Brenda); three grandsons, James Nicholson (Darren), Daniel Nicholson (Amanda), Timothy Nicholson (Evelin); two granddaughters, Emily Thompson (Travis) and Ashley Massey (Chris); five great-grandchildren, Jacob Thompson, Addison Massey, Olivia Thompson, Anslee Cate Massey and Eris Nicholson and his beloved dog, Rocky.
Mr. Nicholson is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Nicholson; siblings, Holcomb Nicholson, Frank Nicholson, Shelby Nicholson, Bruce Nicholson, Bobby Nicholson, Kenneth Nicholson, Odessa Wooten, Bessie Buntyn and Dot Mowdy.
Pallbearers were James Nicholson, Daniel Nicholson, Timothy Nicholson, Chris Massey, Travis Thompson and Jacob Thompson.
Honorary Pallbearers were Barry Nicholson and Kary Nicholson.
Milling Funeral Home of Union was in charge of the arrangements.
