November 22, 1965-March 9, 2026
Today we celebrate the life of Willis Ray Arrington. He was a father, a brother, a well dressed uncle, and the son of the late Curtis and Vermell Arrington. Born on November 22, 1965, in Meridian, MS. Wills Ray was a happy child that was a protector and always willing to fight for his sisters. He enjoyed wrestling, basketball, and football. In his adult years, he enrolled at East Central Community College and majored in carpentry. Skilled in plumbing, electrical and landscaping, Willis Ray was a jack of most trades.
He enjoyed life and having a good time with friends, but more importantly he loved spending time with the people who meant the most to him - family. For Willis Ray, some of the best moments in life were simply being surrounded by the people he loved. Willis Ray departed this life on March 09, 2026 in Newton, MS, leaving behind countless memories and a legacy of love.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Vermell Arrington; his son, Willis Ra’Darian Arrington; his sister, Christy Arrington; his brothers, George McMillan and Michael Arrington, who passed away during infancy. He is survived by four children, Bill Flowers (Briana); De’Andre Arrington (Michelle); Dynasti Arrington and Cornelius Arrington. He is also survived by four sisters, Joyce Ann Campbell, Alice Jo Billups, Stephanie Robinson (Rio), Michelle Russell (Al) and his sister-in-law, Doris McMillan.
His invisible scars depicted a story of untamed purpose. The Lord saw fit to spare his life many times, but now was the time to call hm home.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the memories Willis leaves behind - the music he loved, the meals he cooked, the laughter we shared, and the loved he gave so freely. His presence will be missed, but his spirit will always remain with those who knew and loved him.
