The votes are in, and Kimbo Gladney has been declared the winner of the Town of Lake’s special alderman election.
The special election, which was held February 18, was called to replace Alderman Jeffry Gladney, who resigned his position January 7.
Two candidates, Kimbo Gladney and Gregg Hollingsworth qualified for the race by the deadline, gathering the required 15 signatures and filing with the Town Hall.
Election results provided by the town show 84 total votes were cast. Gladney received 43 votes and Hollingsworth received 39. There were two write-ins.
