NCA Generals Set for Class 3A Playoffs Against River Oaks

The Newton County Academy baseball team only got in one game as they prepared for the Class 3A playoffs.

The Generals tuned up for the playoffs with a 14-8 win over Kemper Academy on Tuesday.

NCA improves to 12-13 on the season and will take on River Oaks in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs.

Union Softball Advances, Baseball Out, Tennis Reaches Semis

The Union softball team advanced in the Class 2A state tournament while the Yellowjacket baseball team split its first two games against Hamilton.

The Lady Yellowjackets took two wins over Walnut with a 9-2 win on Thursday and a 10-6 win on Saturday to sweep the series.
