The Newton Muncipal School District recent held a voter registration drive during the last week of voter registration. Bender, NHS student and son of May Bender, said the students were able to register around 18 students and other community members during the drive. “It was very successful. Just about every student who was eligible to vote by the election was registered. The ability to vote is very important, and we wanted to help as many get registered to vote as possible.”
