A couple of weeks ago, while at the flea market in Union, I stumbled into a stack of books in one of the booths. A title of one caught my eye, “Static Jedi.”
As a Star Wars fan, I picked up the book to see it was a Christian book about drowning out the noises in the world. I bought it, and immediately started reading it, and wow! It was such a powerful and convicting read! There’s
so much I could talk about, but one concept that stuck with me is the author describing having coffee with Jesus.
Every morning before everyone else wakes up, the author pours two cups of coffee: one for him and one for Jesus. Think about what you do when you have coffee with a friend. You talk about your current struggles or current events. You ask for advice or just tohave someone there to listen. And that’s exactly what having coffee with Jesus is like. A father always wants to hear and talk from his children, and God is our Father and friend. I’ve had a couple of cups with Jesus and I can definitely tell a difference that it makes. A word of advice though, if you have a cat, make sure you pour Jesus a cup black.
Cats don’t care much for black coffee, but put a dab of milk or cream in there, and they’ll try it. Jesus doesn’t need a touch of feline in His morning coffee! As I encourage you to try this, I also recommend the book “Static Jedi” by Eric Samuel Timm. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Though all the celebrating taking place, there has been a few tragedies in the past couple of weeks. So many unexpected deaths have occurred to many love ones.
Please remember all those families in your prayers in that God will grant them strength and comfort.
