Inspiring Quotes: “Our ‘Rainbows and Butterflies’ are the small miracles of our life - the little things that are so easy to overlook, yet so awe inspiring when we take a moment to notice and to pay attention. Give thanks for the rainbows, for the butterflies, for all God’s creatures - large and small, for the bright blue sky and the soft fog and the gentle rain, for the tree veiled in the season’s first frost, for the baby’s laugh, for the touch of a hand and the whispered ‘I love you.’” - Jonathan Lockwood Huie

Grace United Baptist Church was the setting for the Valentine’s Banquet on Wednesday, Feb. 13. It was sponsored by the GUBC Youth Group. Several ladies joined in and helped with decorations and getting the food prepared. It was a beautiful banquet and enjoyed by everyone. Awesome job youth!
There were around 40 attending, though several didn’t get to attend this wonderful event because of the flu.
Deepest sympathy is extended to the family of Johnny Collins, 71, of the Fellowship Community. Johnny was an outstanding husband, father, grandfather and friend, and he loved his two dogs, Spanky and Junior. He loved to rabbit hunt and raise watermelons to give away. He will be greatly missed by his community and the Church Family that he loved. To know him was to love him. He made this world a better place. Thanks for all the memories and nicknames that you would affectionately hang on the ones you loved. You will forever be etched in our hearts and minds. We love you.

Recipe for the Week: Peanut Butter Cup Cookie Dough Brownies
Ingredients: 1 roll (16.5-ounces) Pillsbury™ refrigerated chocolate chip cookies, 24 large chocolate-covered peanut butter cup candies, unwrapped, 1box (1 lb 2.4 ounces) original supreme brownie mix, water, oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box.
Steps: 1. Heat oven to 350°F. Line 13- by 9-inch pan with foil, allowing foil to hang over sides of pan for easy removal after baking. Spray with cooking spray. Press cookie dough evenly in bottom of pan. Top with single layer of peanut butter cups. Make brownie batter as directed on box. Spread batter on top of peanut butter cups. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until brownies are set around sides and toothpick inserted in center of brownies (not candies) comes out clean. Cool in pan 20 minutes. Remove brownies from pan by foil edges. Cool completely on cooling rack, about 1 hour. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.
