The Union Lady Yellowjackets picked up a pair of wins last week despite the wet weather.
The Lady Yellowjackets beat Northeast Lauderdale 16-6 on Monday and then beat Ethel 8-2 on Saturday.
Union, now 12-3 on the season, is scheduled to travel to Northeast Lauderdale on Monday before hosting Newton in a doubleheader on Tuesday starting at 4 p.m.
Union 16, Northeast Lauderdale 6
The Lady Yellowjackets drew 11 walks and scored 13 runs in the first two innings to take a five-inning, run-rule win over the Lady Trojans on Monday.
Northeast scored one in the first but Union answers with six in the bottom of the frame. Northeast tied the game up with five runs in the top of the second before Union answered with seven runs. Union then scored two in the third and one in the fifth for the final margin.
Union had just seven hits but drew 11 walks. Ashlynn Jenkins was 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and three RBIs. Alanee Wheeler walked twice, scored twice and had three RBIs. Anna Grace Blount walked three times and scored two runs. D.D. Hunter and Britli Cleveland each walked twice and scored twice while Kenley Pullin and McKenlee McDaniel each scored two runs.
Cleveland started and pitch all five innings and gave up six runs on five hits and one walk while striking out eight.
Union 8, Ethel 2
The Lady Yellowjackets used a pair of four-run innings and took a six-run win over the Lady Tigers on Saturday.
Union scored four in the first and four in the third for their runs while Ethel scored one in the sixth and seventh.
Union outhit Ethel 6-2 and dew nine walks. Ashlynn Jenkins was 2-for-4 with a triple and one run scored while Anna Grace Blount was 2-for-4. Kenley Pullin walked twice and scored twice while D.D. Hunter and Alanee Wheeler each singled and scored a run.
Wheeler started in the circle and pitched six innings, giving up one run on two hits and two walks while striking out 12. Britli Cleveland pitched the last inning and gave up one unearned run.
