East Central Community College will introduce a new sport next summer, as volleyball will be offered for the first time. The girls’ team will be led by a very experienced coach, Patrick Hiltz, originally from California. Married to a Philadelphia, Mississippi girl, Heather Holley, he told me he has grown to love the South.

Basketball: Bobcat Girls Secure Two Wins; Boys Fall in Close Games

The Sebastopol Lady Bobcats picked up two big wins this past week in Division 4-2A play.

The Lady Bobcats beat Eupora 54-22 and then hung on to beat J.Z. George 34-29.

The Bobcats lost both of their games, falling 76-69 in overtime to Eupora and 50-48 to J.Z. George.
