Union Basketball: Jackets Win One in Tough Week

It was a rough week for the Union basketball teams, winning just one game in six contests.

The Union girls lost all three games, falling 45-41 to Noxubee County, 65-30 to Nanih Waiya and 65-23 to Choctaw County.

Newton County Academy Basketball: Generals Hoops Split District Games

The NCA boys beat Canton 50-38 but lost 63-43 to Benton while the NCA girls hammered Canton 37-18 but lost 57-30 to Benton.

The Lady Cougars beat Scott Central 41-11 while the Cougars came away with a 56-45 win.

Sebastopol Basketball: Bobcat Teams Drop Pair of Matchups

It was a rough week for the Sebastopol basketball teams as they both dropped a pair of contests.

The Sebastopol girls lost 55-37 to Pisgah and then 52-45 to Lake.

Sebastopol is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 30 as they play at Enterprise. They will then play at Union on Saturday, Jan. 3.
