The beginning of the week may not have gone Newton County’s way but the end of the week was one to remember.
The Cougars dropped a 5-4 decision to Mendenhall on Monday and then lost 4-0 to Kosciusko on Tuesday. But the Cougars bounced back and beat 4A power West Lauderdale 7-6 on Thursday to end the regular season.
