But the Lady Bobcats were unable to come away with a win as they fell 10-5 to Nanih Waiya on Monday and 10-1 to Petal on Saturday.

softball: Lady Hornets dominate in busy week of action

The Lake Lady Hornets showed why they are the defending Class 2A champions last week, winning five games.

Lake opened the week with a 21-0 win over Philadelphia and then beat Pelahatchie 12-0 on Thursday. On Friday, Lake took a 5-3 win over St. Martin and then grabbed two wins on Saturday, beating Puckett 6-4 and Sumrall 11-10.
