BASKETBALL: Lady Tigers return from quarantine with win

After more than a month off the court, the Newton basketball teams finally got back to playing.

In their first action since Dec. 2, the Newton Lady Tigers opened Division 6-2A play with a 37-32 win over Philadelphia on Friday.

The Tigers weren’t as fortunate as the Tornadoes took a 69-62 win over the Tigers on Friday.
