The Union Lady Yellowjackets won three out of four contests this past week, including a pair of 12-0 wins over Scott Central in Division 4-2A play.
The Lady Jackets also eat Southeast Lauderdale 7-3 on Saturday before dropping an 11-9 decision to Sebastopol to finish out the week.
Union, now 6-7 on the season, will return to play this week with a two-game series with Newton. Union will play at Newton on Tuesday and host the Lady Tigers on Thursday. Union will play at Sebastopol on Friday to end the week.
Union 12, Scott Central 0
The Lady Yellowjackets needed just 3 1/2 innings to take a run-rule win over the Lady Rebels on Tuesday.
Union scored seven in the first, four in the second and one in the third.
Union had seven hits and drew seven walks. Kayleigh Vance was 2-for-2 with a triple and two runs scored. Kenley Pullin singled, scored two runs and had two RBIs. Ansley Rigby walked twice and scored two runs while Jordan Turner singled and had two RBIs. Abbie Jenkins also scored two runs while Dallas Brown and Debbie Hunter each singled and scored a run.
Britli Cleveland got the start in the circle and pitched all four innings, scattering three hits while striking out five.
Union 12, Scott Central 0
The Lady Yellowjackets went six innings on Thursday but the result was still the same in a shutout win over the Lady Rebels.
Union scored four in the first, two in the fourth and six in the sixth.
Union had seven hits while Scott Central committed nine errors. Dallas Brown was 2-for-4 with a triple and five RBIs while DaShayla Jackson was 2-for-4. Britli Cleveland singled and drove in a run while Ansley Rigby and Kenley Pullin each singled and scored two runs.
Cleveland pitched all six innings and gave up just two hits while striking out 12.
Union 7, SE Lauderdale 3
The Lady Jackets used a steady supply of offense and held on to take a four-run win over the Lady Tigers on Saturday.
Union scored single runs in the first, second, third and fifth before adding three in the sixth.
Union had seven hits as Ansley Rigby led the way, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs. DaShayla Jackson and Kenley Pullin each singled and scored two runs. Kayleigh Vance and Britli Cleveland each singled and scored while Kaydon Lee had two RBIs.
Dallas Brown pitched all seven innings for the Lady Jackets and gave up three unearned runs on three hits and a walk while striking out four.
Sebastopol 11, Union 9
The Lady Jackets made a late charge but came up short in a two-run loss to the Lady Bobcats on Saturday.
Sebastopol scored three in the first and seventh, two in the fifth and single runs in the third, fourth and sixth. Union scored two in the first, one in the fourth and fifth and five in the bottom of the seventh.
D.D. Hunter and DaShayla Jackson each had two singles while Kayleigh Vance had a double.
Britli Cleveland pitched the first five innings and gave up seven runs while Dallas Brown pitched the last two innings.
