With Ole Miss commit Kemp Alderman still out, the Generals struggled at the plate this past week.
The Generals were no-hit on Tuesday in a 10-0 loss to Brookhaven Academy and then lost 11-1 to the Cougars on Thursday in their only action this week.
NCA, now 2-12, will return to action this week in a key district contests with Prentiss Christian. Game 1 of the series will be played at Prentiss on Tuesday in a 2 p.m. contest and the series will return to Decatur on Thursday for a 6 p.m. contest.

The Generals were no-hit on Tuesday against one of the state’s top Class AA contenders.
After two scoreless innings, Brookhaven scored six in the third, followed by two in the fourth and sixth innings.
Brookhaven had 13 hits while NCA did not have a hit. Lee Hollingsworth, Zach Joyner and Braxton Rose did reach on walks while Zach Joyner reached on an error.
Rose got the start on the mound and pitched 3 1/3 innings and gave up eight runs on 10 hits and one walk while striking out one.

Brookhaven made the return trip to Decatur on Thursday and picked up where they left off on Tuesday with a five-inning, run-rule win.
Brookhaven scored three in the first, six in the third and two in the fourth. NCA scored its one run in the first inning.
NCA had six hits in the contest as Zach Joyner was 2-for-2 and scored the Generals’ only run on an RBI double by Alec Thompson. Logan Little, Braxton Rose and Austin Upton each had singles for the Generals.
