The Newton Lady Tigers won their seventh game in a row as they won three games last week.
The Lady Tigers opened the week with a 45-20 win over Quitman and the followed up with two Division 4-2A wins as they beat Philadelphia 43-33 and Scott Central 54-33.
Newton improved to 19-2 on the year as they improved to 5-0 in Division 4-2A play.
Newton has just one game scheduled next week as they will travel to Lake on Friday.

Philadelphia 33
The Lady Tigers overcame a first-half deficit and ran away with a 10-point lead on Tuesday.
Philadelphia led most of the first half, holding a 14-10 lead at the end of the first and a 22-16 advantage at the half. The Lady Tigers got going in the second half as they outscored the Lady Tornadoes 17-5 in the third to take a 33-27 lead into the fourth. Newton finished off Philadelphia in the fourth, outscoring the Lady Tornadoes 10-6 in the fourth.
Nia McCalphia led Newton with 16 points while Ja’Leah Hickmon had 15 points. Myja McNichols also had nine points.

Quitman 20
The Lady Tigers dominated the first half as they cruised to a 25-point win over the Lady Panthers on Monday.
Newton led 9-0 at the end of the first period and outscored the Lady Panthers 18-8 in the second to lead 27-8 at the half. After outscoring Quitman 3-2 in the second, Newton outscored the Lady Panthers 15-10 in the fourth to take the win.
Ja’Leah Hickmon led Newton with 15 points while Myja McNichols ha 11 points. Cornesha Jones also had seven points for the Lady Tigers.

Scott Central 33
The Lady Tigers had little trouble with Scott Central as they won their third game of the week.
Newton led 15-9 at the end of the first and outscored the Lady Rebels 18-9 in the second to lead 33-18 at the half. Newton extended the lead in the third, outscoring Scott Central 13-5 to take a 46-23 lead into the fourth.
Nia McCalphia led Newton with 18 points while Ja’Leah Hickmon added 17 points. Myja McNichols had 10 points while McKinley Ware added seven points.
