Union baseball coach Dustin Hamrick saw the good and the bad this past week from his Yellowjackets.
On Tuesday, the Yellowjackets run-ruled Sebastopol 13-3. The Yellowjackets then turned around and lost 10-1 to Morton.
“It was a tale of two teams this week,” Hamrick said. “On Tuesday, we looked great against Sebastopol and Saturday we looked pretty bad against Morton. We’re just very inconsistent and have got to get it together for this week starting district play with Scott Central.”
Union, now 6-6 on the season, will get back to action this week as they open Division 4-2A play with Scott Central. In a schedule change, Union will host Scott Central on Tuesday and play at Scott Central on Friday. On Saturday, Union will host Nanih Waiya in a 1 p.m. contest and Leake Central in a 3:30 p.m. contest.
