The Lake Lady Hornets bounced back from a Tuesday loss to Newton to win the Scott County Tournament.
The Lady Hornets opened the tournament with a 34-30 win over Sebastopol and then took a 48-43 win over Forest.
The Hornets beat Scott Central 50-31 in the semifinals and then lost to Morton 52-36 in the finals.
Lake will travel to Union on Tuesday and to Philadelphia on Friday. They will then host Scott Central on Saturday.
Lake girls 34, Sebastopol 30
The Lady Hornets pulled away in the second half to take a four-point win over the Lady Bobcats.
Each team scored 12 in the first and five in the second to tie the game at 17-17 at the half. Lake then outscored Sebastopol 11-9 in the third and 6-4 in the fourth.
Laneisha Palm led Lake with nine points while Laurel Breland had seven points and Ameria Ervin added six.
Lake girls 48, Forest 43
The Lady Hornets held on in the fourth period to take a five-point win over the Lady Bearcats in the Scott County Tournament finals.
Lake led 13-10 at the end of the first and outscored Forest 9-7 in the second to lead 22-17 at the half. Forest cut into the lead in the third, outscoring Lake 15-12 as the Lady Hornets led 34-32 going into the third. Lake took the win as they outscored Forest 14-11 in the fourth to take the win.
Laurel Breland led Lake with 14 points while TraShaylah Wilson had 12 points and was 7-of-8 from the free-throw line in the fourth. Laneisha Palm also had 10 points.
Lake boys 50, Scott Central 31
The Hornets dominated the first half and cruised to a 19-point win over the Rebels on Thursday at the Scott County Tournament.
Lake jumped out to an 11-3 lead and outscored Scott Central 15-2 in the second to lead 26-5 at the half. Scott Central outscoring Lake 15-14 in the third and 12-7 in the fourth.
Danarrious Hughes and Brady McGee led Lake with 13 points while Devonte Rankin added 10 points.
Morton boys 52, Lake 36
The Panthers used a big four period to pull away and beat the Hornets in the finals of the Scott County Tournament.
Lake led for the first three period, leading 12-8 at the end of the first and 20-15 at the half. Morton started mounting its comeback in the third, outscoring Lake 16-12 to cut the Hornets’ lead to 32-31 going to the fourth. In the fourth, Morton outscored Lake 21-4 to take the win.
Brady McGee led Lake with 12 points while Danarrious Hughes had nine and Devonte Rankin added seven.
