The Lake Lady Hornets grabbed a pair of big wins this past week.
The Lady Hornets beat Pisgah 42-35 and then beat Enterprise 42-22.
The Lake boys team lost both games as they lost 47-39 to Pisgah and 53-46 to Enterprise.
Lake will return to action this week as they travel to Ethel on Tuesday and will host Bay Springs on Thursday and Morton on Friday. They will play host Sebastopol on Monday, Dec. 16 in their final action before the Christmas break.
Lake girls 42, Pisgah 35
The Lady Hornets jumped out early and held on to take a seven-point win over the Lady Dragons on Friday.
Lake led 14-7 at the end of the first and outscored Pisgah 15-8 in the second to lead 29-15 at the half. Pisgah outscored Lake 10-8 in the third and 10-5 in the fourth for the final margin.
D’Nara Barton led Lake with 14 points while Ameria Ervin had six points. Tra’Shayla Wilson and Laurel Breland each had five points apiece.
Pisgah boys 47, Lake 39
The Dragons used a big third period and held on to take an eight-point win over the Hornets.
Lake led 8-7 at the end of the first but trial 16-14 at the half. Pisgah then pulled away in the third, outscoring Lake 19-5 to lead 35-19 going to the fourth. Lake took the fourth period 21-12 for the final margin.
Brady McGee led Lake with 14 points while Danarrious Hughes had seven points and Davonte Rankin added six points.
Lake girls 42, Enterprise 22
The Lady Hornets outscored the Lady Bulldogs in every period and took a 20-point win on Tuesday.
Lake led 12-6 at the end of the first and 19-9 at the half. Lake continued to extend its lead in the second half, outscoring Pisgah 10-7 in the third and 13-6 in the fourth.
Laurel Breland led Lake with 12 points with four 3-pointers while Laneisha Palm had seven points and Tra’Shayla Wilson added five points.
Enterprise boys 53, Lake 46
The Bulldogs use a big second half to come from behind to beat the Hornets.
Lake led 13-10 at the end of the first and outscored Enterprise 11-10 in the second to lead 24-20. Enterprise outscored Lake 18-12 in the third to lead 38-36 going into the fourth where they used a 15-10 advantage for the final margin.
Zywon Ledbetter and Jalen Theus each had 10 points apiece while Danarrious Hughes had nine points and Brady McGee added eight points.
