The Lake Lady Hornets lost their first games of the season last week.
The Lady Hornets started off on a roll, beating Enterprise 13-1, Forest 12-0 and Newton 18-0.
Then on Saturday, Lake lost 6-3 to Bogue Chitto and 6-2 to Lawrence County.
Lake, now 19-2, will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Southeast Lauderdale and will host Lawrence County on Thursday.
Lake 13, Enterprise 1
Laurel Breland was 4-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBIs. Taylor Duncan was 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored and three RBIs. Tra’Shaylah Wilson was 2-for-2 while Landry LeBlanc and Kaytie Hillman each singled and drove in two runs. Brantlee McGee also scored three runs for Lake.
Katlyn Lott pitched 5 1/3 innings and gave up one run on five hits and two walks to pick up the win while Abby Pinter pitched the last 2/3 of an inning.
Lake 12, Forest 0
Landry LeBlanc was 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBIs. Kaytie Hillmn was 3-for-3 with a double, home run, two runs scored and three RBIS. Taylor Duncan was 2-for-2 with a double, home run, two runs scored and two RBIs. Alana Edmonds was 2-for-3 with a double while Abbie McGee was also 2-for-3. Josie Gibbs singled and drove in two runs while Kate Gladney walked twice.
Abby Pinter pitched all four innings and gave up two hits and struck out two to pick up the win.
Lake 18, Newton 0
Lake had 11 hits and seven walks as Kate Gladney was 3-for-3 with a double, three runs scored and two RBIS. Abbie McGee was 2-for-2 with a double and four RBIs. Laurel Breland had a home run, three runs scored and three RBIs while Kaytie Hilman had a home run and three RBIs as well. Landry LeBlanc and Taylor Duncan each scored three runs while Brantlee McGee and Josie Gibbs each scored two runs apiece.
Bogue Chitto 6, Lake 3
The Lady Hornets suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday to the Lady Bobcats of Bogue Chitto.
Lake had just four hits in the contest, led by Taylor Duncan who was 2-for-2 with a double, home run and three runs scored. Alana Edmonds and Kaytie Hillman also had RBI singles.
Lawrence County 6, Lake 2
The Lady Hornets lost a second straight contest on Saturday, falling to Class 4A Lawrence County.
Lawrence scored two in the first and four in the fifth while Lake scored two in the top of the fifth.
Lawrence County outhit Lake 10-9 but the Lady Hornets committed four errors.
Alana Edmonds and Josie Gibbs were each 2-for-3 hill Taylor Duncan doubled and drove in two runs.
