The Lake Lady Hornets remained unbeaten as they crushed four more opponents last week.
The Lady Hornets hammered Clinton 17-0 on Monday and then battered Bay Springs 13-3 on Thursday. On Saturday, Lake crushed Vicksburg 16-0 and then beat Richland 16-2.
Lake, now 7-0 on the year, will travel to Stringer on Monday and host Enterprise on Tuesday in their only scheduled action this week.
Lake 17, Clinton 0
The Lady Hornets scored 14 runs in the first inning and cruised to a four-inning, run-rule victory on Monday.
After the 14-run first inning, Lake added three runs in the second.
Lake had 12 hits, drew five walks and took advantage of four errors. Kaytie Hillman was 2-for-2 with two home runs and six RBIs while Alana Edmonds and Kate Gladney were each 2-for-2. Laurel Breland doubled, scored two runs and had three RBIs while Brantlee McGee, Abby Pinter and Landry LeBlanc each scored two runs apiece. Tra’Shaylah Wilson doubled, scored two runs and had two RBIs.
Katlyn Lott pitched all four innings and gave up two hits and two walks while striking out one.
Lake 13, Bay Springs 3
The Lady Hornets banged out 25 hits and took a 10-run win over the Lady Bulldogs on Thursday.
Lake scored two in the first, four in the third, five in the fifth and two in the seventh. Bay Springs scored one in the first, fifth and seventh innings.
Kaytie Hillman was 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and three RBIs while Alana Edmonds was 4-for-4 with a double. Taylor Duncan was 3-or-4 with a double and two runs scored while Josie Gibbs and Abbie McGee were each 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Laurel Breland was 2-for-4 with a double, triple and two runs while Tra’Shaylah Wilson was 2-for-3.
Katlynn Lott pitched 5 1/3 innings and Josie Gibbs pitched the last 1 2/3 innings.
Lake 16, Vicksburg 0
The Lady Hornets needed only three innings to take a run-rule win over the Lady Gators on Saturday.
Lake scored seven in the first, four in the second and five in the third.
Lake had 11 hits, reached on five errors and drew six walks. Kaytie Hillman was 2-for-3 with two doubles, three runs scored and two RBIs while Kate Gladney was 2-for-2 with a double, three runs scored and two RBIs. Taylor Duncan was 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored while Laurel Breland was 2-for-3 and scored twice. Abbie McGee and Katlyn Lott each had three RBIs while Brantlee McGee scored three runs.
Katlyn Lott pitched all three innings without giving up a hit and walking three.
Lake 16, Richland 2
The Lady Hornets used a big first inning to take another run-rule victory on Saturday.
Lake scored 14 in the first and three in the second as they cruised to the win.
Lake had 10 hits, drew seven walks and took advantage of six errors.
Landry LeBlanc had a huge day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three home runs and six home runs. Taylor Duncan was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored. Kaytie Hillman and Taylor Duncan each had doubles while Josie Gibbs had a triple. Hillman, Gibbs, Abbie McGee, Abby Pinter and Brantlee McGee each scored two runs while Tra’Shaylah Wilson had two RBIs.
