The Lady Hornets won two out of three contests this week.
Lake opened up the week with a 15-0 win over Pelahatchie and then beat Northeast Lauderdale 14-7 on Saturday. The followed that up with a 1-0 loss to Wayne County in a defensive battle.
Lake will host powerhouse Neshoba Central on Tuesday and travel to Philadelphia on Thursday. Lake was scheduled to play in the Sebastopol Tournament but that event has been cancelled.
Lake 15, Pelahatchie 0
Lake had 14 hits in the contest as Kaytie Hillman was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBIs. Reagan Clark was 3-for-3 with two runs scored while Alana Edmonds was 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Josie Gibbs was 2-for-2 while Kate Gladney had a triple and drove in four runs. Shaylah Wilson also scored three runs. Clark, Edmonds and Hillman each had doubles in the contest.
Clark got the win on the mound as she pitched the rare slow-pitch no-hitter while striking out two and walking one.
Lake 14, NE Lauderdale 7
Lake had 16 hits in the contest, led by Kate Gladney who was 4-for-5 with a double, three runs scored and three RBIs. Kaytie Hillman was 4-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Taylor Duncan was 2-for-4 with three runs scored while Josie Gibbs was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Landry LeBlanc drove in three runs while Brantlee McGee drove in two runs.
Wayne County 1, Lake 0
Wayne scored its only run in the fourth inning as they managed just five hits.
Lake had seven hits as Alana Edmonds and Kate Gladney were each 2-for-3. Landry Leblanc, Kaytie Hillman and Morgan Bounds also had hits for Lake.
