The Newton County Academy Generals opened up district play last week with a big win over Columbus Christian.
The Generals dominated the Rams, beating Columbus Christian 56-36 while the Lady Generals fell 59-40.
NCA also fell to Sylva Bay last week as the Generals fell 55-41 while the Lady Generals fell 58-39.
NCA will return to district play this week as they are set to travel to Hebron on Tuesday and host Kemper Academy on Friday.
NCA boys 56, Columbus Christian 36
The Generals built a big lead and cruised to a 20-point win over the Rams on Tuesday.
The Generals started fast as they outscored the Rams 19-6 in the first period and 11-9 in the second to lead 30-15 at the half. The Generals extended that lead in the third, outscoring Columbus 16-10 to take a 46-25 lead into the fourth.
Lawson Reeves had his best game of the season with 22 points while Austin Upton had 14 points and eight rebounds.
Columbus Christian girls 59, NCA 40
The Lady Rams pulled away in the third period and took a 19-point win over the Lady Generals on Tuesday.
Columbus led 13-9 at the end of the first period but NCA outscored the Lady Rams 10-8 in the second to cut the margin to 21-19 at the half. But Columbus pulled away in the second half, outscoring NCA 20-8 in the third and 18-13 in the fourth.
Lilly Hollingsworth and Cayden Alexander each had 10 points apiece while Mace Woodham had seven rebounds.
Sylva Bay boys 55, NCA 41
The Saints pulled away in the second half and took a 14-point win over the Generals on Friday.
The game was tight in the first half as NCA led 14-11 at the end of the first. Sylva Bay outscored NCA 13-12 in the second as NCA held a 26-24 lead at the half. The Saints started to pull away in the second half as they outscored NCA 15-10 in the third and 15-5 in the fourth.
Austin Upton led NCA with 15 points while Riley Boswell had 12 points.
Sylva Bay girls 58, NCA 39
The Lady Generals led early but the Lady Saints rallied to take a 19-point win on Friday.
NCA jumped out to a 12-8 lead in the first period but Sylva Bay outscored the Lady Generals 16-10 in the second and led 24-22 at the half. The Lady Saints pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Lady Generals 14-7 in the third and 20-10 in the fourth.
Macie Woodham led NCA with 10 points and nine rebounds while Cayden Alexander had 10 points.
