The Newton County Academy Lady Generals picked up a much-needed win on the hardwoods last week.
The Lady Generals beat Park Place 47-38 and also lost 47-35 to Carroll Academy on Tuesday. The Generals lost both of their games, falling 28-26 to Park Place and 44-27 to Carroll.
NCA will be off for the week of Thanksgiving and will return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 3 against rival Sylva Bay. Last week’s game against Tri-County had to be postponed because the Rebels were playing in the Class 3A championship football game. That game will be rescheduled for a later date.
