The Newton County Lady Cougars stayed unbeaten with three more wins last week as they improved to 11-0 on the season.
County opened the week with a 12-3 win over Southeast Lauderdale and then beat Brookhaven 17-5 and 11-0 over Warren Central on Saturday.
County returns to action this week as they host Southeast Lauderdale on Monday and Northwest Rankin on Tuesday. The Lady Cougars will put their unbeaten record on the line when they travel to Neshoba Central on Thursday to take on the Lady Rockets, who are 8-0 on the season.
County 11, Warren Central 0
County outhit Warren Central 12-2 in the contest. Katelyn Gipson was 3-for-3 with a double, home run with three RBIs. Jada McDougle was 2-for-3 with a home run, triple, two runs scored and four RBIs while Lizzy Hollingsworth was 2-for-3 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs.
Natalie Lampton pitched the first three innings and Christyia Denson pitched the final two innings to take the win.
County 17, Brookhaven 5
After trailing 5-2 in two innings, the Lady Cougars tied it in the third and broke it open with 12 runs in the top of the seven to take a win.
County had 21 hits while Brookhaven had two but drew 10 walks.
Lizzy Hollingsworth was 4-for-5 with a double, triple, two runs scored and three RBIs. Jada McDougle was 3-for-4 with a double, triple, and grand slam home run while scoring three times and driving in four runs. Lorren Ivey was 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs while Katelyn Gipson was 2-for-5 with two runs scored. Lanie Phillips was 2-for-5 while Maeli Ben was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Casey Dube was 2-for-4 and scored two runs while Haley McDowell was 2-for-4. Brelie Phillips also scored twice.

County had 17 hits in the contest as Jada McDougle was 3-or-4 with two home runs, three runs scored and three RBIs. Lizzy Hollingsworth was 3-for-4 with two runs scored while Katelyn Gipson was 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBIs. Lorren Ivey, Maeli Ben, Casey Dube and Haley McDowell were all 2-for-4 while McDowell had two RBIs.
Natalie Lampton pitched all seven innings for the Lady Cougars, scattering nine hits.
