The Newton Lady Tigers picked up two big Division 6-2A wins this past week to stay unbeaten in division play.
The Lady Tigers moved to 4-0 in division play and 12-8 overall as they beat Philadelphia 55-50 on Tuesday and Scott Central 45-40 on Friday.
The Tigers split their two games as they beat Scott Central 68-53 but lost to Philadelphia 56-51.
Newton was scheduled to play Philadelphia on Monday in a makeup contest and will host Lake on Friday.

The Lady Tigers picked up a big division win with a comeback win over the Lady Tornadoes on Tuesday night.
Philly led 14-10 at the end of the first period but Newton took a 21-20 lead into the half. The Lady Tornadoes outscored the Lady Tigers 16-15 in the third to tie the score at 36-36 going into the fourth. Newton grabbed the win as they outscored Philly 19-14 in the fourth to take the win.
Zia Shields led Newton with 27 points while Ja’Leah Hickmon had 10 points.

The Tornadoes started each half quickly and held on in the fourth to take a five-point win over the Tigers on Tuesday.
Philly led 14-10 at the end of the first but Newton outscored the Tornadoes 11-8 in the second to hold a 22-21 advantage at the half. The Tornadoes pulled away in the third, outscoring the Tigers 17-7 to take a 39-28 lead. Newton outscored Philly 23-17 in the fourth for the final margin.
Kedrick Osby and Justin Thompson each had 12 points apiece for Newton.

Scott Central 53
The Tigers controlled the action from the beginning and took a 15-point win over the Rebels on Friday.
Newton jumped out to a 15-7 lead in the first period and led 35-21 at the half. Newton extended its lead, outscoring Scott Central 14-11 in the third to lead 49-32 going to the fourth.
Justin Thompson led Newton with 18 points while Kedrick Osby added 15 points. Kaleb Traxler also added 11 points for the Tigers.

The Lady Tigers dominated the first three periods of play as they held on to take a five-point win over the Lady Rebels.
Newton led 11-10 at the end of the first and 26-19 at the half. Newton then outscored Scott Central 9-2 to take a 35-21 lead into the fourth. Scott Central outscored Newton 19-10 in the fourth for the final margin.
Zia Shields led Newton with 20 points while Ja’Leah Hickmon added 17 points.
